Remembering Michael Jackson today in Tumblr fashion - MJ art spam!

A message from an amazing customer—

“Lainy:
I purchased this MJ drawing from you a while back. I work at the studios where 90210 is filmed and they were filming a scene in our offices. LaToya Jackson[MJ’s Sister] is new to their cast and she was in the scene. I have an office full of MJ memorabilia and she noticed and came in to see all of my items. She spent about 10 minutes in my office and I had your drawing of MJ up on my desk and she and her entourage fell in love with it. I would love it if I could purchase one specifically for her. She is going to be on the studio lot for a while and I would love to give it to her as a gift.”

I had a heart attack!! lol

AND this here, is the stretched canvas print made just for LaToya!! I’m SO excited to send it! ♥

Day 32 of my 366 project for Charity - I’ve always loved this picture of MJ and I couldn’t resist drawing it today! (I mean, there are sparkles.:P)

Created with charcoal and highlighted with chalk and acrylic paint. Finished in about 3 hours.

This is me carefully adding white acrylic highlights with a toothpick over the chalk and charcoal to get a bright ‘sparkle’ look to my most recent MJ piece.

This is one of my Christmas commissions, so this one IS finished. I’ll be sharing the full and finished piece in the next few days!

Magic

This portrait has a very special place in my heart. And on my wall :P

Created with chalk and charcoal on textured gray paper. I used a ballpoint pen for detail hair and white acrylic paint(with a toothpick) for little highlights.

And this is kinda-sorta how I create:
